Our Mission
Inside Broadway is a professional New York City based children’s theatre company committed
to producing Broadway’s classic musicals in a contemporary light for young audiences.
Our aim is to pass down the rich legacy of America’s musical theatre to future generations
so that the magic, music, and universal themes of the genre are not lost, but rediscovered
and made relevant for today’s youth.
Each year over 30,000 New York City students in over 85 schools throughout the five
boroughs attend performances of our Equity theatre company and participate in theatre
arts workshops. Our school workshop program is conducted by a staff of professional
teaching artists and meets the New York State Standards for the Arts, Social Studies and
English Language Arts. We also meet the New York City Department of Education Blueprint
for Theatre Arts.
